The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, of blaming him for virtually anything that happens in the governor’s office or residence.
Wike made the allegation during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Tuesday.
The former Rivers State governor claimed that Abdulrazaq would even blame him whenever he encounters a snake or any other reptile.
According to Wike, the Kwara governor has become more focused on political gossip than on the responsibilities of governance.
He made the remarks against the backdrop of the Rainbow Coalition’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid and criticism from some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors.
Wike further alleged that Abdulrazaq was using the political controversy to divert attention from challenges within Kwara State’s political structure.
“The governor of Kwara, so unfortunate, anytime he sees a snake, it’s Wike. Anytime he sees a reptile, it’s Wike. Any day he doesn’t eat, it’s Wike. I’ve never seen people who will give time to gossip more than the work they have been given.
“He has three serving senators; he changed all of them. He has House of Representatives members; he changed all of them. Now, if you are a good politician, you’ll see it doesn’t look good,” Wike said.
