The Director-General of Imo ADC Diaspora Affairs and Director-General of the Southeast ADC Mobilization Network (SEMN), Comrade (Dr.) Diamond Bryan Agu, has congratulated the former Governor of Imo State and leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, for what he described as his exceptional political leadership, organizational capacity, and strategic mobilization that culminated in the overwhelming victory of former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, during the just-concluded ADC Presidential Primary Election in Imo State.
In a congratulatory Message issued shortly after the declaration of results, by the State Returning Officer, Hon. Eko Atu, Dr. Agu noted that the outcome of the primary election was a clear testament to the confidence reposed in the leadership of Rt. Hon. Ihedioha by party faithful across the 27 Local Government Areas and 305 wards of Imo State.
According to him, the transparent, peaceful, and well-coordinated conduct of the exercise reflected the maturity of the party's internal democratic process and underscored the political sagacity, grassroots appeal, and unifying leadership qualities of Rt. Hon. Ihedioha, whose guidance ensured the successful mobilization of members and delegates throughout the state.
Agu congratulated Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Waziri Adamawa, on his decisive victory and expressed confidence in his capacity to provide visionary leadership for Nigeria. He equally acknowledged the spirited participation of other aspirants, including Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, whose involvement enriched the democratic contest and strengthened the credibility of the primary election.
The SEMN Director-General further extended profound appreciation to the Imo State Chairman of ADC, Professor James Okoroma, for his exemplary leadership, administrative competence, and commitment to ensuring a seamless and credible electoral process. He also commended members of the Southeast ADC Mobilization Network (SEMN), party executives, stakeholders, ward coordinators, and ADC members across the state for their massive turnout, dedication, and unfliching commitment to the growth and success of the party.
"Professor James Okoroma and the entire party leadership deserve commendation for their tireless efforts in providing the enabling environment for a successful primary election. The remarkable turnout witnessed across the state demonstrates the growing strength, unity, and acceptance of the ADC as a formidable political platform in Imo State and the Southeast," he stated.
Dr. Agu reaffirmed the total support and loyalty of the Imo ADC Diaspora and SEMN to the leadership of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, describing him as a visionary leader whose experience, inclusiveness, and political foresight continue to reposition the party for greater electoral successes.
He expressed optimism that under Ihedioha's leadership, the ADC in Imo State is well-positioned to record victories in future elections and consolidate its status as a credible alternative for good governance and democratic development.
